Full Time - $83,000-$87000/Annually DOE
Territory includes: Riverside, Orange and San Diego Counties

Job Summary
Responsible for oversight of accounts receivable and billing functions for multiple assigned facilities. Performs
regular accounts receivable aging reviews to provide guidance and assistance with outstanding accounts.
Partners with facility Administrator to make operational and administrative recommendations to maximize
collections. Ensures compliance with company policies, standardized procedures and industry regulations.
Essential Functions
- Review aging report on a monthly basis, or as-needed basis, in collaboration with the Business Office
- Manager (BOM). Follow up on outstanding accounts that continue to be an issue.
- Document problem accounts and overall progress in AR Exit Report format and provide findings
- monthly to Senior Management.
- Review bad debt requests and approve as necessary in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
- Provide training, support and coaching to BOM’s and business office personnel. Set goals for BOM’s
- and monitor progress.
- Assist in recruitment, selection and performance management process for BOM’s and business office
- personnel as necessary.
- Oversee month end close process to ensure financial accuracy & timely billing. Intervene with resolving
- issues when necessary.
- Assist with creation and implementation of standardized best practice procedures within the business
- Assist with training standardized procedures to new and/or existing business office staff.
- Stay current on industry changes and state/federal regulations and laws.
- Assist with audit requests when needed (i.e. CPA audits, Medi-Cal audits, Medicare bad debt audits, etc.)
- Complete reports, analysis and auditing as requested by managers and/or corporate office.
- Oversee BOM’s to ensure all essential business office functions are completed monthly & timely. Assist
- with processes and organization if expectations are not met.
- Regularly review & audit facility processes to ensure standardized procedures are being followed
- properly, address issues and hold BOM accountable to make corrections. Follow up to ensure progress.
- Other assigned duties or projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of skilled nursing & long term care billing and collection practices and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the
- Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Proven ability to demonstrate initiative.
- Ability to multitask and be productive under pressure.
- Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Ability to have flexible work hours.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel.
- Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented.
- Skilled in directing and motivating business office personnel.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; BA degree is preferred.
- Speak, read, write and understand the English language.
- 3+ years of accounts receivable managerial experience in a Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute setting.
- Experience with billing Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, Managed Care & Coinsurance.
- Experience leading and managing teams required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to
- accomplish the requirements of the position.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry a minimum of 25 lbs. for a distance of 25 feet and lift to height of 5
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at work station.
- Must be able to repetitively use computer for data entry, composing correspondence.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
