The Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the purpose of this position is to operate a forklift for all Ammonia Nitrate handling and storage tasks in a safe and efficient manner whilst maintaining a high focus on the companies Zero Harm vision. This is a 7:7 roster, 6am – 6pm Wednesday to Tuesday roster cycle and it is expected that the successful applicant lives local to the region.
We are looking for a Plant Operator with experience in the safe operation of a Forklift in an environment where they are able to take ownership of the work area. We’re looking for someone who can also champion our Health and Safety standard by assisting the team to follow all guidelines to keep everyone safe. In addition, the Plant Operator will also be responsible for:
- Follow all reasonable direction/instructions issued by the operating supervisor.
- Grounds/yard maintenance on site
- Undertake all forms of AN handling and storage tasks
- Safe and efficient operation of forklift
- Basic maintenance on all on site equipment / prestart inspections /weekly/monthly checks
- Receive/despatch bulk and bagged AN
- Completion of all required paperwork

- Forklift (HRWL) Licence
- Standard 11

The DNAP Bajool operation is located approximately 36km south of Rockhampton on the Bruce Highway. Our Bajool site is a 15000-tonne ammonium nitrate (AN) storage/handling and distribution site. The primary role of the operation is to supply bagged and bulk ammonium nitrate to our DNAP facilities and mines located throughout Queensland and New South Wales, in addition to our AN import and export work we undertake at various times throughout the year.
