JOB PURPOSE
Ensure the quantity and timing of raw material and purchased parts coverage at PHINIA, considering firm demand and the volumes reflected in the sales forecasts in the SAP system. Responsible for optimal inventory levels at the plant, ensuring safety stock based on defined policies and inventory turnover to cover production schedules without changes that affect production efficiency in the short term. Identifies and reduces potential risks of shortages, excesses, obsolescence, and unquarantined material that affect inventories, all through the coordination of resources assigned to the planning team analyzing opportunities, and determining measures to reduce operational risks, which are communicated effectively.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the activities of the Planning Team.
- Ensure that planners send releases to suppliers on a weekly basis (EDI, WEB EDI, Email with Excel).
- Responsible for maintaining inventory levels: Overseas ≤ 21DOH, USMCA ≤ 7DOH, Local ≤ 3DOH based on the Origin and Criticality policies approved with the PC&L Manager without risk to the production plan.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory turnover of ≥ 6.3 turns per month.
- Analyze monthly deviations ≥5% from the defined forecast for FG, WIP, In transit, and Raw Material inventories, present root cause and corrective actions.
- Avoid changes to the weekly production plan (≤2 maximum per week) by analyzing component coverage.
- Maintain the cost of expediting materials (PFAs) ≤ 0.20% of total monthly sales.
- Responsible for ensuring the correct flow of information on the status of critical materials that affect production schedules and customer coverage.
- Responsible for new launches, engineering changes, and implementation of deviations through the Launch Specialist resource assigned to their role.
- Responsible for SAP system parameterization for LT, TT, TF, etc. for each part number.
- Propose, implement, or support continuous improvement initiatives in the Planning Area.
- Reduce annual costs associated with maritime and land transportation for material collection by 10% in conjunction with Logistics Coordinators.
- Ensure the recording of Logistics Complaints and the recovery of costs due to supplier issues (under-shipping, incorrect labeling, damage, etc.).
- Actively lead GPTW initiatives to achieve ≥80% approval ratings for the program on an annual basis.
- Support and collaborate with SAP initiatives and their maintenance in outreach processes.
- Responsible for documenting and maintaining updated procedures, work instructions, and visual aids that support orientation programs and training matrices within the Quality Management System framework in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Actively participate in the Annual Physical Inventory.

What we’re looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or business administration.
- Minimum years of related work experience 5+ years
- Technical knowledge required: Knowledge of the MRP process and the planning environment, knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process and the supply chain.
- Other requirements: Microsoft Office, SAP.
- English required: Competent.
