The Senior Financial Analyst supports the accounting, finance and reporting functions of the TEOC, Bearing and Seals businesses and its operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly motivated self-starter and interested in a role within a manufacturing setting that involves learning about a business and working closely with operations. Duties and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with the month-end closing process and ensure all closing reporting activities are completed within the required deadlines
- Analyze and communicate variances to actual results
- Tracking and reporting of critical performance metrics to the plant operations team
- Reconcile assigned accounts monthly with a focus of clearing reconciling items in a timely manner
- Assist with the company’s annual financial Plan, 5 Year Strategy, Quarterly Forecast and Monthly Estimate
- Support with all accounting of foreign and domestic joint ventures for the division
- Prepare operational plan-to-actual analysis and year over year analysis, as directed.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to existing processes and internal controls
- Prepare monthly reports and supporting schedules for inclusion in Management’s monthly operations package
- Participate in physical inventory of fixed assets, including capital assets and capitalized tooling
- Support SOX testing along with annual internal and external audits by responding to requests for information from Amsted Internal Audit and PwC.
- Support annual reporting requirements as necessary.
- Drive innovation by improving the reporting process as well as reinforcing best practices throughout the organization
- Perform additional tasks, financial analysis and ad-hoc projects as needed to support the Finance team for TEOC, Bearing and Seals locations as needed.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Safety: Demonstrate awareness of safety requirements in plant work areas and wear appropriate PPE for assigned work. Provide financial support for safety improvement initiatives

- Environment: Participates in environmentally appropriate workplace maintenance habits, including 5S. Recognizes environmental risks in processes and collaborates with key site leaders to ensure environmental stewardship within the facility
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- +4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, CMA/CPA is a plus
- Proficiency in SAP strongly preferred. Other ERP experience considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve intended results
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
- Must possess the ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations to facilitate growth and profitability for the organization
- Willing to travel –up to 15%
