EMPLOYER INFORMATION:
Clifford Beers is a mental health clinic serving children and families. Our mission is to provide
integrated services addressing mental, physical, and social determinants in order to improve health,
resiliency and quality of life for children, families and communities.
PURPOSE:
The Director of Grant Reporting & Budgeting will manage the grants accounting team. This role will
oversee the grants financial process which will include grant budget preparation, account journal entries
and reconciliations for grant revenue, unearned revenue, grant receivable/refundable and restricted fund
assets roll-forward and release, staff allocations, financial reporting to grantors, grant variance analysis
review with the respective program operating team leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the individual grants financial process including budgeting, reporting, and revenue recognition and variance analysis.
- Evaluate processes and procedures within accounting and suggest, implement and re-evaluate for continual improvements
- Evaluate key staff functions to ensure the department is meeting the customer needs and working efficiently and accurately
- Ensure accuracy of information and data for all accounting functions
- Provide support and participate in budgeting and auditing processes
- Work closely with organizational leaders to meet their accounting needs including processes and procedures, reporting, and communications
- Other duties as assigned by the CFO and VP Finance.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years’ experience supervising an accounting team, grants management and revenue recognition process.
- CPA and single audit experience are strongly preferred.
- ASC 606 work experience required & ASC 958 work experience strongly preferred.

SKILLS:
Must exhibit knowledge and/or proven ability in:
- Experience with Financial Edge and experience in State and Federal Grants Management Reporting is a plus
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP required, and knowledge of Federal and State cost standards preferred
- Demonstrated ability to proactively ensure that the department runs smoothly and staff is fully supported.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
TRAVEL:
Minimum or no more than 10% of local travel might be necessary for in-person meetings and events.
