Job Title: Adjunct Professor – Master of Real Estate Development (MRED)
Location: Thomas Jefferson University – East Falls
Department: Real Estate Development / Urban Planning / Architecture (as applicable)
Employment Type: Part-time / Semester-based
Reports To: Program Director, MRED
Position Summary:
The College of Architecture and the Built Environment at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Adjunct Professor to teach in its Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program. The successful candidate will bring professional expertise and industry insight to help prepare graduate students for leadership roles in real estate development, finance, design, and urban planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate-level courses in areas such as real estate finance, development process, market analysis, site planning, entitlements, sustainability, or public-private partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver course content including lectures, case studies, readings, and assignments.
- Evaluate student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Bring current industry practices, regulations, and trends into the classroom.
- Collaborate with program faculty and leadership on curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Architecture, Business, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Significant professional experience in real estate development or a related sector.
- Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of development finance, entitlement processes, and urban markets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Argus, Excel modeling, GIS, or other relevant platforms is a plus.
