Primary Purpose
Represent the Truss Division in the field by ensuring accurate site measurements, clear communication between design and framing teams, and exceptional customer service to contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Technical & Field Skills
- Accurately measure foundations, jobsites, and additions to ensure design precision.
- Verify that onsite construction conditions align with documentation from the Truss Design Department.
- Inspect job sites for accessibility, readiness, and respond to any repair requests and completion.
- Use basic hand tools and measuring devices effectively and safely.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate design and installation information clearly to framers and subcontractors.
- Maintain professional and courteous relationships with builders, framers, and other trade partners.
- Provide timely feedback and updates to the Truss Design and Production teams.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and problem-solving discussions to improve coordination and service quality.
Customer Service & Problem Solving
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through responsiveness, follow-through, and professionalism.
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Adapt to changing priorities and schedules while maintaining focus on customer needs and project goals.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Franklin Building Supply policies and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate consistent attention to safe work practices and professional conduct at all times.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested to support the Truss Division and company operations.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Prior roof truss, framing, and construction industry experience, jobsite practices.
- Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, and truss design software).
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents.
