Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical management related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a Workers Compensation Coordinator or a similar role.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA, specific state statutes).
  • Experience in utilizing Workers’ Compensation claim management software (e.g., a specific TPA/carrier system) and HRIS platforms for accurate data entry, claims tracking, and generation of reports/metrics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple claims simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage sensitive, confidential employee information (including medical records and claims data) in strict compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage data gathering/processing to ensure proper insurance placement.
  • Receive, process, and manage workers' compensation claims for owners, employees, and Responsible Contractors ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in arranging necessary medical appointments and treatments for injured owners and employees.
  • Review documents and accident reports to determine causes and propose solutions to prevent reoccurring accidents.
  • Provide necessary training to managers and supervisors on how to process workers’ compensation claims.
