Position Summary:The Senior Director of Infrastructure & Services is a strategic and technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the enterprise technology foundation that powers business operations. This role oversees Platform Engineering, Cloud Services, Server Systems, and Data Storage & Recovery, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure to meet organizational goals.The Senior Director partners with senior IT and business leaders to align infrastructure strategy with business priorities, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure operational excellence across on-premise and cloud environments.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & StrategyDevelop and execute the Enterprise Infrastructure and Services strategy aligned to organizational objectives and digital transformation goals.Lead and mentor teams across Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Server Systems, and Data Storage & Recovery, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.Serve as a key member of the IT leadership team, influencing long-term technology roadmaps, investment priorities and architecture standards.Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure reliability, performance and cost efficiency.Infrastructure & Platform EngineeringOversee design, automation and lifecycle management of compute, storage and network platforms.Lead adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management and CI/CD best practices to streamline provisioning and change management.Partner with Security, Architecture and Application teams to ensure infrastructure design meets compliance, performance and resilience requirements.Cloud ServicesDrive enterprise cloud strategy (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid), balancing scalability, performance, cost and security.Oversee migration and modernization of workloads, ensuring optimal use of cloud-native tools and services.Manage relationships with cloud vendors, ensuring effective governance, contract management and cost optimization.Server Systems & Data StorageDirect the management and optimization of on-premises and cloud-based server environments, including virtualization and container platforms.Ensure data storage, backup and disaster recovery systems meet business continuity and regulatory requirements.Lead initiatives to modernize data protection, archiving and replication capabilities across hybrid environments.Operational Excellence & Service DeliveryEstablish robust monitoring, incident response and problem management processes to maintain high service availability.Oversee IT service management (ITSM) practices including change, configuration and capacity management.Manage operational budgets, vendor contracts and capital planning for infrastructure initiatives.Qualifications:Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (master’s degree preferred).10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in infrastructure or cloud operations leadership roles.Proven experience managing hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments and large-scale enterprise systems.Demonstrated success leading platform engineering or DevOps transformations.Technical ExpertiseDeep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).Expertise in server, storage and backup technologies, including SAN/NAS, data replication, and disaster recovery.Familiarity with automation, observability and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, etc.).Strong grasp of networking, cybersecurity principles and ITIL-based service management.Leadership CompetenciesStrategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with tactical execution.Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams through change and modernization.Financial and vendor management acumen, with experience in cloud cost governance and optimization.Success Metrics:Improved infrastructure reliability and uptime across all environments.Reduced operational cost and complexity through automation and cloud optimization.Accelerated deployment cycles and improved service agility through platform engineering practices.Enhanced data resilience and recovery performance aligned with business continuity objectives.Employment visa sponsorship is unavailable for this position.
