English Faculty, Middle School, Grades 6-8 
Begins August 2026

Job Summary: The Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic English Teacher to join our team. This position will begin in August of the 2026-27 school year. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English education, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to engage and motivate students. A sense of humor and a positive and ambitious attitude are highly desirable. Enthusiasm for working in a middle school environment, a demonstrated commitment to innovative pedagogy, as well as the ability to thrive in a collaborative community that values creativity and independence in the classroom, are all essentials. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, English, or a related field.
• Experience teaching middle school is preferred. 
• Proven ability to:
  • use a range of literature and resources that represent diverse experiences across various genres
  • collaborate with colleagues to build robust curriculum in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary instruction 
  • teach the writing process to reach a wide range of learners
  • assess and monitor student progress, providing regular and meaningful feedback to students and parents.
  • foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and respect.
• Show evidence of best practices in education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.
