Are you passionate about shaping the future of spine surgery? Join Medtronic Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) as a Senior Product Manager with the Upstream AiBLE Marketing team. This Senior Product Manager will be responsible for leading the Spine Fixation AiBLE Marketing initiatives supporting various Spine procedures and projects across Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST). In this pivotal role, you’ll drive innovation at the intersection of spinal hardware, platforms and technology, and data solutions—impacting AiBLE procedural roadmaps and driving CST growth strategies. Primary responsibilities will include collaborating and advising the Spine Marketing Team, gathering AiBLE requirements for spine programs, and launching software to support the integration of spine procedures, implants and instruments. Collaboration and support activities will include identifying customer needs, supporting customer engagements, collaborating on the ideation, scoping, execution and launch of spine AiBLE procedures and products.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the evolution of the Spine Fixation AiBLE portfolio, including the integration of projects like ModuLeX and Voyager Platforms. This will also include procedural collaboration for adult spinal deformity, pediatric spinal deformity, minimally invasive surgery, and tumor/trauma procedures.
Market & Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth procedural market assessments and determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements
Voice of Customer: Collaborate with surgeons, procedure teams, and customers to gather requirements, validate needs, and inform product direction and finalize procedure/product specifications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Spine Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Finance, and regional teams to define product specifications and value-added solutions.
Competitive Positioning: Analyze the market landscape and recommend strategies for product positioning and competitive selling
Marketing Deliverables: Develop impactful sales materials to support product launches and training.
Event Engagement: Represent Medtronic at global trade shows and customer programs, leveraging insights to shape future innovations.
Technical Acumen: Rapidly learn and communicate complex clinical and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Travel - 30%, both domestic and international
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in marketing, engineering, clinical, science or technology, or 5 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
Spine and/or Enabling Technologies Experience
Nice to Have
Degree in Business, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related field
Experience with spine procedures and technology
Experience learning technical products quickly
