What we are looking for
Highly motived individual who provides outstanding customer service by assisting with management of the operations and activities of the store and staff; works closely with store manager in making decisions that contribute to the store’s success. Is responsible for directing the entire team to achieve the goal of a fully stocked, clean and shoppable store.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Supervise sales floor, providing high-quality customer service and maintaining merchandising and cleanliness standards.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in all interactions; maintains confidentiality and sets an example of appropriate workplace conduct.
- Supports company initiatives to create a sales-driven, customer-first culture.
- Ensure that the staff is fully trained and has a full knowledge of all products.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring that merchandising/recovery is completed and that register, and customer service area is processing customers in a timely manner.
- Set the example of learning and mastering all POS and WMS systems to coach and mentor others in their facility.
- Ensure the proper replenishment of the store by properly maintaining the ERP database as well as all inventory and warehouse levels.
- Collaborates closely with Buyers, Cash Cage, Receiving, Will Call, and Customer Sales departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure store is ready for business at opening by having constant communication with the night shift supervisor and their team to maintain accuracy in replenishment, inventory movement, and store readiness.
- Assure staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures, attendance standards, and performance expectations while fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance and encourages continuous improvement and teamwork to maintain a positive work environment.
- Respond to the needs of all team members by collaborating with Human Resources and ensuring the Team Member Handbook is used as a reference.
- Provides training, sets performance goals, and provides evaluative feedback to all direct reports.
- Effectively manage schedules and workflow.
- Monitor and order all DSD products on a timely basis.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all SSOP and food safety processes and procedures.
- Prepare all required reports and paperwork and identify sales opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and training needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed).
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage various priorities and simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and store management systems.
- Must be fluent / bilingual in Spanish and English to include reading, writing, and speaking.
Physical Demand And Work Environment:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to climb ladders, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel.
- Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
- Occasionally work in high, precarious places.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme cold temperatures ranging from -10˚ to 40˚.
- Continually exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds and up to 80 pounds.
- Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
- Performs other related physical duties as assigned by management.
