Position Overview:

The Operations Coordinator plays a critical support role within the warehouse and shipping/receiving environment. This individual is responsible for maintaining supply organization, assisting in packaging material distribution, managing dock-related tasks, supporting inventory and freight logistics, and ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse processes. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position that contributes directly to daily warehouse flow and productivity.

Essential Job Functions:


Supply Management & Packaging Support

  • Keep outside dock area (e.g., pallet storage) clean, organized, and safely maintained.
  • Compile daily/weekly supply replenishment lists (e.g., boxes, bags, shipping materials).
  • Unload incoming packaging and operational supplies from delivery trucks.
  • Remove packaging materials (plastic wrap, banding, cardboard covers) from pallets before racking.
  • Stock packing stations daily with essential packaging materials (bags, boxes, etc.) to support packing efficiency.
  • Rotate stock and remove empty pallets/skids from racking as needed.

Shipping, Receiving & Dock Operations

  • Answer dock doors and greet drivers; maintain the driver sign-in log.
  • Assist with loading and unloading LTL trailers and other freight shipments.
  • Stretch wrap, weigh, and measure outbound pallets in preparation for shipment.
  • Process driver BOLs and related shipping documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling outbound freight shipments
  • Maintain dock area cleanliness and reorganize as needed for safety and efficiency.
  • Make cardboard bales and coordinate disposal when bale machine is full.
  • Load scrap pallets onto disposal trailers.
  • Receive and process UPS deliveries using RF scanners.
  • Stage Greenstock pallets for Inbound department.
  • Separate and organize purchased stock items from Greenstock inventory.

Equipment & Compliance Monitoring

  • Monitor PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) equipment and charger statuses.
  • File and control all PIT pre-inspection logs.
  • Schedule pickup for cardboard bales and paper gaylord disposals.
  • Assist with picker driver calls to help support warehouse flow.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 years’ experience in a warehouse, shipping, manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
  • Previous forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Preferred:

  • Previous RF scanning experience.
  • Familiarity with LTL freight processes and documentation.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
  • Understanding of inventory and packaging material management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time

Working Conditions:

This role is performed in a warehouse setting, with frequent exposure to varying temperatures, and moving equipment. Safety gear (e.g., gloves and eye protection) may be required. The position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and the use of PIT equipment.
