Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Create and maintain part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), and master routings within the ERP/Agile system.
Coordinate the release and change of engineering documents and ensure proper revision control in accordance with internal procedures.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of product documentation.
Manage the document lifecycle, including creation, revision, approval, distribution, retention, and archival.
Control and monitor documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA/GMP as applicable).
Maintain and update electronic document management systems (EDMS/PLM/ERP).
Support product lifecycle processes, including Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Assist in the development and implementation of document control procedures and best practices.
Prepare documentation packages for audits, regulatory inspections, and customer requests.
Train staff in document control processes and use of document systems.
Conduct periodic internal audits of document control practices and records.
Education & Experience
Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in document control, product data management, or configuration management.
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or regulated industry environment.
Skills
Proficient in ERP and PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Windchill).
Strong understanding of BOMs, part numbering systems, and manufacturing routings.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with engineering drawings and CAD file types.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor.
Physical Requirements
Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
Requires lifting to 20 lbs.
Requires the ability to use computer keyboards and equipment.
Safety Requirements
