We are seeking an experienced Tier 3 IT Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure and applications while serving as the top escalation point for complex technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the highest-level technical resource for IT support issues across the company.
- Manage and maintain servers, networking equipment, and enterprise applications.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
- Support and ensure uptime of dispatch, scale, ERP, and fleet management systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated support tickets beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 capabilities.
- Lead IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, integrations, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff.
- Knowledge of FAA part 107 preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a Tier 3 or systems administration role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms.
- Strong Knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS), especially MS SQL.
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching).
- Familiarity with enterprise applications for logistics, construction, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Expertise in backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Web development experience a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
