Pay Range: $75,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of Microtech Knives and our related entities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and is eager to grow in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Staff Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, drive process improvements, and contribute to key compliance and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review daily and weekly transactions to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

• Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging reports; resolve discrepancies and maintain account health

• Perform month-end closing tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries

• Track and maintain fixed assets

• Provide support for AR/AP as needed

• Assist in streamlining accounting processes and supporting software implementations

• Prepare documentation for annual audits and respond to audit inquiries

• File multi-state sales and use tax reports

• Record payroll and benefits-related entries accurately and consistently

• Review benefit program reports for accuracy and compliance

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional accounting role

• Manufacturing industry experience is a strong plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

• Experience with ERP systems and adaptability to new technology

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized under pressure

• Willingness to work occasional overtime when necessary
