Job Summary

The Accounting Administrator will process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee time records, assist with internal and external audits, and perform ad hoc projects, as assigned. 


Essential Functions 

  • Reviews information entered by Human Resources for accurate processing of payroll. 
  • Verify timesheets and process payroll data to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Calculate and process Commission payments.
  • Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and adjust as needed.
  • Processes and uploads payroll journal entries to club accounting software.
  • Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks and/or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
  • Stay up-to-date and ensure all payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Must handle sensitive information with integrity. Confidentiality of all company and employee records is a must. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing questions and resolving discrepancies related to their pay.
  • Gather data and perform reconciliations for internal and external audits. 
  • Performs other related duties assigned by the supervisor or CFO. 

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess honesty and integrity
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Team player and get along with coworkers 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact in a friendly, helpful and professional manner while on property and/or conducting company business 
  • The ability to work well under pressure to effectively meet deadlines 
  • Highly dependable and reliable
  • Self-motivated, works well independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal & written instructions independently
  • Must keep confidential information, confidential

  Education and Experience 

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED
  • Some college and hospitality experience preferred
  • Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll preferred.

  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


  • This is a full-time position of at least 40 hours per week. 
  • Days and hours of work are regularly Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break. The employee must be available to accommodate submission of bi-weekly payroll in a timely manner.

Regular Work Schedule

  • 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday 
  • Works as needed on weekends and holidays for projects and special events
