Upward Bound House (UBH) is a mission-driven nonprofit ending intergenerational family homelessness. For 30+ years, we’ve delivered a continuum of care—from crisis to permanent housing—rooted in empowerment, collaboration, and trauma-informed practice.



Role Summary
Lead UBH’s TAY (18–24) Interim Housing and YHDP Rapid Rehousing programs. You’ll own day-to-day operations, staff supervision, data and contract performance, partnerships, and outcomes in housing stability, education, employment, and wellness.



What You’ll Do

  • Program Leadership: Run daily operations; align policies/workflows with Housing First, Positive Youth Development, and trauma-informed care.

  • Team Management: Supervise case managers, housing navigators, and RAs; provide coaching, training, and performance reviews; lead weekly case conferencing and smooth handoffs across programs.

  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure contract deliverables; manage budgets with Fiscal; monitor HMIS data quality; track/report outcomes.

  • Youth Services: Oversee life skills, education/employment support, and mental-health engagement; elevate youth voice in program design.

  • Community Partnerships: Collaborate with LAHSA, DMH, DCFS, CES partners, and funders; coordinate referrals/authorizations; cultivate landlords to expand housing options.



What You Bring

  • BA in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field (MA preferred).

  • 3+ years in homeless services or youth programs; 2+ years supervising or managing programs.

  • Working knowledge of RRH, YHDP, and CES; strong HMIS/data/reporting skills.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization; commitment to DEI and trauma-informed practice.

  • Ability to work some evenings/weekends; travel within LA County.

Mandatory Requirements

Employment eligibility, reliable transportation, TB test, background check, CPR/First Aid, valid CA driver’s license, personal auto insurance, and insurability under UBH policy.
