Position Summary:
Manufacturing Team Lead oversees and coordinates daily operations within the manufacturing team, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products. Responsibilities include leading and motivating the team, implementing production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with various departments to achieve overall production goals. The Team Lead plays a key role in optimizing processes, addressing issues, and promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
As a backup/designee to the Production Supervisor, a strong candidate will possess the ability to satisfactorily perform the following duties:
- Assist the Supervisor in prioritizing and executing work assignments to align with production schedule.
- Provides guidance, correction, and motivation to other Manufacturing Technicians during daily activities.
- Review Master Batch Records for accuracy, compliance, and completion.
- Create Maintenance Work Order requests for equipment repairs.
- Collaborate with the Product Development Department on troubleshooting/rework processes.
- Perform raw material verifications, scrape checks on ribbon blenders, lid checks on blenders, setup checks on machines and final blend checks for agglomeration.
- Troubleshoots equipment/production challenges on major equipment.
- Verifies Manufacturing Technicians are properly logged into correct job(s) for accurate reporting of direct and indirect labor through Deacom application.
- Run variance reports to verify production standards are correct and being met by staff.
- Verify equipment and room tags are accurate and in place per process.
- Utilizes forklift and pallet jack to move components and product to appropriate areas as needed.
- Assists Manufacturing Supervisor with training all levels of Manufacturing Technicians; assists Manufacturing Supervisor with documentation of training as needed.
- Performs all duties according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Department Operating Procedures (DOP’s), and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
- Become familiar with duties and responsibilities of all manufacturing levels.
- Familiarize self with all production equipment.
- Complete shift pass-downs and report on product output metrics daily.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects in MFG.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Required Knowledge:
- Previous experience with trouble-shooting and problem-solving required.
Experience Required:
- 2+ years of related manufacturing experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills / Abilities:
- Proficient in interpreting and training in instructions in written, diagram, and schedule format.
- Able to read, follow, and train others in following standard operation procedures (GMP’s, SOP’s, and Batch Records).
- Possess basic math skills and able to use a calculator to solve variable calculations.
- Works and partners with others in a positive team environment.
- Basic Computer skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
