What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be supporting safe, efficient, and community-focused care for our members. Working alongside our pharmacists, you’ll play an important role in both the technical and operational side of pharmacy services: keeping our shelves stocked, our workflows smooth, and our patients supported.

Here’s a snapshot of what your day could include:

  • Providing support to our members: Answer non-clinical questions about prescriptions and over-the-counter products, helping patients understand when and how to take their medication, and connecting them with the pharmacist when needed for clinical advice.
  • Managing pharmacy inventory: Help reconcile and manage drug inventory, source alternatives during shortages, receive and organize medications for destruction, and maintain accurate records under pharmacist supervision.
  • Supporting prescription processing: Transfer and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies and accurately prepare refills and renewals to keep patient care seamless.
  • Assisting with verbal orders and technical checks: Work closely with pharmacists to ensure prescriptions are complete, accurate, and compliant. Perform technical checks for dosage, labeling, and directions.
  • Preparing compounds and ensuring quality: Compound approved formulas according to standards, ensuring precise measurements, documentation, and safety practices.
  • Supporting workflow and supporting continuous improvement: Play a hands-on role in maintaining smooth daily operations, mentoring pharmacy assistants or students, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

What You Will Need

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a recognized institution
  • Active registration or eligibility of registration with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Processionals (SCPP) as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, but we’ll also consider recent graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills
  • A genuine commitment to delivering excellent member and patient care in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Get

  • A competitive hourly wage and full-time hours
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Short-Term and Long-Term disability coverage
  • A 6% matched pension program
  • Eligibility to participate in our team-member short term incentive plan
  • Three weeks of vacation, plus statutory holidays and a flex day program
  • Access to our Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP) for confidential wellness support
