$23.49 base hourly rate plus $.65 afternoon shift and $.65 night shift differential. Overtime is paid after forty (40) hours in the week at time and one half. 12 hour days 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am (One month of days and one month of nights, rotating every month) Work 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on and 3 days off.
You will be eligible for benefits after thirty (30) days and you will be represented by the United Steelworkers after thirty (30) days
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT- Various forming machines, feeders, molds burn off machine (related mold equipment, related B.O. equipment) (adjustment for burn off), and similar or equivalent machines and equipment necessary to form the product or finish the product.
GAUGES AND TOOLS- Various gauges to maintain product quality. Small hand tools, and similar or equivalent gauges and tools. Must have own personal tools as designated by foreman.
PRODUCTS OR MATERIALS- Molten glass, finished or unfinished ware, oils, dope, steel wool, sand paper, oxygen, gas, gloves, and similar or equivalent products or materials.
WORK GUIDES AND INSTRUCTIONS- General verbal and written instructions. Job Change Schedule and Set-up cards.
QUALITY REQUIREMENTS- To safely and efficiently operate various machines and equipment in accordance with plant requirements for optimum production of ware of satisfactory quality. To burn off ware for various finishes according to plant quality specifications.
- Operate the various machines and equipment to manufacture product to the quality specifications at the optimum level of efficiency.
- Responsible for maintaining turnout when take-out is down or while padding take-out equipment.
- Assist in the job change process.
- Communicate all changes and problems as they occur to the Production Supervisor.
- Replace defective molds and similar equipment as required.
- Perform QC checks on the ware at various stages of forming to check weight, and forming parameters.
- Complete any paperwork necessary such as Mold change log.
- Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in the work area.
- Do other work as required by supervisor.
