Introducing the role 

Working within the Personal Care Global BG HR team, this is a stretching and varied role, which blends business partnering with strategic HR projects across Unilever’s biggest Business Group. The role of HR Partner Personal Care is varied and challenging in nature. The role is designed to stretch HRBP capabilities, working closely with key Categories to unlock talent, design and implement transformation programmes, embed new and future WoW as well as coaching and developing our Global teams.  

You will also be responsible for leading cross-functional projects, aligned to our ‘Make it Personal’ people strategy. With Marketing as your main stakeholder, you will be at the forefront of Marketing Transformation, including Social First Demand Generation. This role will also work across all functions from time to time, supporting the PC leadership team with HR talent and culture initiatives.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Working with Personal Care HR Directors, partnering key client groups across the Business Group (Marketing, CMI, Media)  

  • Lead key people processes - reward review, talent management, people development forums etc  

  • Lead a transformative agenda in building future capability through cross-divisional, multi-functional teams including the expansion of Marketing Transformation initiatives.  

  • Lead development and deployment of our PC Marketing People Strategy including career development interventions and increasing employee engagement  

  • Lead Organisation Design including WFP for PC BG Central  

  • Leads WL1-3 Talent to Value Strategy for Global Marketing  

  • Dock into Business Unit HR Leads as needed   

  • Coaching and development Senior Leadership 

  • Work closely with broader HR network (People Partners, Data Specialists, Talent Partners, Reward, Global Mobility) to land initiatives with impact and manage challenges as needed 

  • Work closely with the PC HR team to create and implement solutions to our biggest challenges.

Skills and Experience 

  • HR experience, demonstrating a proven track record of delivery across organisational development and change, talent management, performance management and reward  

  • Comfortable working autonomously and dealing with ambiguity  

  • Have the adaptability and resilience to balance short-term and long-term priorities  

  • Strong relationship building skills and a flexibility of approach to coach and become a trusted partner to multiple VPs and their teams 

  • Strong networking skills, able to deliver through others, working through HR colleagues across the globe  

  • Able to use data and insight to unlock new opportunities that generate value  

  • Customer focus and proactive to self-start on various issues 

  • A change agent who can support transformation of both organisation and culture 

  • Self-aware, and focussed on their own development

  • This role will be based at 100VE 

  • Some travel to other UL sites within the geography will be required

Location 

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London. This site will house some employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars together with colleagues who are currently located in Lever House in Kingston. We are excited to be creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment. The campus is due to be completed in 2026.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
