Position Overview

Asset Management involves tracking and managing the company's IT assets, including hardware, software, and digital resources, throughout their lifecycle.

As an Asset Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and reporting on the organisation's IT assets. You will ensure accurate asset data, support asset management policies and processes, and provide insights to optimise asset utilisation and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate asset records in the asset management system.
  • Prepare and analyse asset data reports (e.g. dashboards) to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Support the asset acquisition, deployment and disposal processes.
  • Assist in conducting asset audits and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain software licensing to ensure compliance.

Critical Skills,

Knowledge, and Experience

  • Understanding of asset lifecycle management
  • Experience in using CMDB / Asset Management Tool, License tracking tools like Flexara
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and auditing.
  • Proficient in data entry.
  • Proficient in asset and software tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of licensing and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting in order to generate insights.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts and strategies.
