Position Title:                    Director, Data Management & Analytics

 

Position Location:             5500 Caruth Haven Lane, Dallas, TX 75225

                                            Telecommuting permitted two (2) days per week with three (3) days in the office.

 

Hours:                                 Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

Summary of Duties:                  

 

  1. Contribute to development of company’s data strategy and analytics roadmap.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into using data-oriented programming languages.
  3. Contribute to the development and adoption of Salesforce to enhance cross-functional collaboration, aligning team strategies to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
  4. Lead Data analytics team, 
  5. Critically evaluate and collect data from multiple sources (publicly available, subscription and self-reported data) published in multiple formats (e.g. flat files, database tables) related to our organizational data model.
  6. Develop and maintain the organizational data model by creating processes to import, normalize, transform, and validate data; and by building and managing database components such as tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions, joins, and unions, while documenting procedures to ensure consistent protocols and controls.
  7. Provide references for users by designing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users on the data model.
  8. Investigate, understand and translate business needs into the design and development of an organizational (Microsoft Power BI) data model.
  9. Design develop and deploy ETL workflows to perform data acquisition from various complex data sources.
  10. Support enterprise BI environment including code migrations, bug fixes and help business users to resolve any issues in the script, data model or connections.
  11. Conduct data analysis to inform research questions or KPIs and make inferences about how those findings might impact the success of our initiatives and organizational strategy.
  12. Prepare and present key findings and trends to internal and external stakeholders by developing reports, templates, and other communication materials that summarize information using data visualizations such as graphs, tables, and maps, and deliver insights through presentations, webinars, workshops, or similar formats.

 

Education requirements: Master’s degree in Information Technology and Management, Computer Science or closely related field.

 

Experience requirements:       2 years of experience in business analytics.

 

 

Special Skills or Other Requirements:   Must have experience with each of the following:

     Translating business requirements into technical specifications.

     Predictive analysis.

     ETL workflows.

     Development of relational databases using SQL query language.

     Data Governance.

     Application of programming languages.

 

Travel requirements:  15% domestic travel required.
