Job Summary:
The Outdoor and Cycling Sales Manager drives business growth across outdoor and cycling product lines by leading the sales team and implementing effective strategies. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the outside sales team for new & existing product portfolio.
- Set, monitor, and track sales targets, providing regular progress reports to direct report & upper management.
- Coordinate department projects, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Analyze and report on sales metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts for designated areas.
- Use partner and customer feedback to inform product development and suggest new features.
- Research and implement strategies to boost sales and enhance sales administration efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to sales, finance, and legal policies and procedures.
- Establish an open-communication environment within the sales team as well as supporting departments.
- Liaise with Logistics and Accounting to ensure smooth order processing and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and territories, managing all aspects of customer account relations.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet customer needs and objectives.
- Drive new business opportunities with existing clients and identify areas for improvement to achieve sales goals.
- Negotiate prices with customers (dealers) and close sales deals.
- Represent and promote outdoor & cycling products at trade shows and events.
- Provide after-sales support and services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and developments.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain customer satisfaction and address concerns proactively.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the outdoor & cycling products, with a strong understanding of the sales administration process.
- Knowledge of outdoor & cycling products, systems, and relevant regulations.
- Proficient in sales techniques and processes, with a demonstrated ability to identify and meet customer needs effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Outstanding interpersonal and team management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail and a commitment to quality and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong follow-up skills to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Able to work onsite 5 days a week and travel up to 70% locally and internationally as required.
Preferred:
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Zoho CRM, or HubSpot) and MS Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and advanced functions).
