Job Overview
The Creative Services Project Management Intern will collaborate directly with the Creative Services Project Manager to support the full lifecycle of creative projects from conception to delivery. This dynamic role provides hands-on experience in creative project workflow management, including request intake, scope definition, stakeholder communication, and resource coordination. The intern will participate in both internal team meetings and interdepartmental collaborations, gaining valuable insight into how creative development processes function within a professional media environment. While primarily remote, this position requires occasional in-person attendance at meetings, primarily at our Burbank office.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across departments to understand creative requirements and project parameters, learning effective communication strategies with diverse stakeholders
- Support the project management workflow by assisting with request processing, resource coordination, and task organization using the Creative Services team's established project management systems
- Gain hands-on experience with Digital Asset Management by organizing, cataloging, and distributing media assets through Sony Ci and DropBox platforms
- Develop documentation skills by creating and managing production documents and presentation materials using SharePoint and OneDrive
- Participate in creative production processes when available, including pre-production planning, on-set assistance, video file processing, and caption generation for social media content
- Explore emerging technologies by researching and testing AI tools and automation opportunities to enhance creative workflows
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience collaborating within team environments on creative projects, either through coursework, extracurricular activities, or previous internships
- Strong interest in graphic design, motion graphics, and video production for multi-platform promotional content, as evidenced by coursework or personal projects
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) and understanding of standard creative file formats and workflows
- Proficiency with communication and productivity tools including Microsoft Office applications, video conferencing platforms, and messaging systems
- Familiarity with project management systems (such as Wrike, AirTable, or Trello) and digital asset management platforms (preferred)
- Previous experience or coursework in creative production, marketing, or communications fields (preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant creative work or project management experience (preferred)
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Available for a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Reliable transportation access for travel to in-person meetings and events
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools,
or controls reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand and walk. The
employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
The working conditions are primarily in a general office or remote setting. However the position may have the opportunity to work in studio or on location to assist with video shoot production in our Burbank, CA office, Costa Mesa, CA office, or offsite location as necessary.
