While participating in PCG’s Health Practice Area Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work alongside staff at all levels, ranging from entry-level staff to our firm’s senior leaders. You will gain valuable experience working on challenging and exciting projects across a breadth of functional areas within the firm with a specific focus on financial and strategic services in the Medicaid space to support our clients. Furthermore, you will learn the landscape of the current healthcare marketplace by understanding a broad range of solutions we bring to the public sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will work primarily on Medicaid finance engagements such as Medicaid cost reporting and hospital quality measurement. Typical job duties include:
 

  • Financial analysis, including preparation and review of cost reports

  • Collection, organization, and analysis of data

  • General project management support

  • Quality assurance/quality control of work products

  • Hospital quality measure review and scoring

  • Literature review

  • Assistance with preparation of written reports and other client deliverables as needed

  • User acceptance testing of web-based systems, external customer support, and other duties as assigned

  • Innovation opportunities using process automation platforms (ex: Microsoft Power Automate)

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines

  • Desire to learn, achieve, and innovate

  • Ability to work both as a component of a team, and autonomously.

  • Interest in the public sector, specifically related to healthcare

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a full-time degree program.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $24hr.
