Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of nine sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution. Business Control & Support, and the Chief Operating Office.
The Morgan Stanley Wealth Management UX team builds digital experiences that help our clients manage their finances and monitor their investments easily on the Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley platforms. Morgan Stanley ISG Research UX team is focused on the Morgan Stanley Research business. Morgan Stanley Research is a global organization with equity analysts, economists, and strategists providing thought leadership and insights through in-depth analysis to help clients generate alpha. Research covers; equities (3500+ stocks), world economics, macro research, fixed income, commodities, cross-asset strategy as well as thematic investments views. The products serve analysts, internal business units within the bank and a broad range of institutional clients.
Once here you will
Working closely with the UX lead, help execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process
Understand the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients
Provide design solutions for content focused experiences for research content consumers, as well as the wide range of content authoring tools, data analysis tools, with and without AI enablement.
Independently and collaboratively seek to learn about the business domain and users
Craft intuitive and elegant experiences that empower our clients to make confident financial decisions
Work closely with our research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs
Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization
Form holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our wealth management product ecosystem
Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products
Work closely with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm
Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance
Relevant experience and mindset
You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs
You've spent 2-5 years as a UX designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched
You have a bachelor's degree in design or related field preferably, master's degree a plus
You have excellent skills in Figma
You have experience designing intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience and drive customer engagement
You can leverage research, wireframes and prototypes to effectively validate and enhance your design concepts to achieve the best possible solutions for your users
You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and you value being on a diverse team to brainstorm and get feedback from within a large organization
You practice active listening and contribute in group situations, like brainstorms, audits, critiques, and whiteboard sessions
You get excited by complex projects with high levels of ambiguity and are resilient in the face of obstacles
