What is the opportunity?

RBC BlueBay has around $4.3bn aum from Clients in France and Monaco spread across:

  • Diversified Fixed Income strategies including govies, Investment Grade, High Yield, EM Debt, both long only and with growing demand for Total and Absolute Return strategies
  • Equity strategies, particularly in emerging market

RBC BlueBay is committed to a client-centric model, with local representation across the EMEA region and a structure predicated on continuity of relationships.  Hence Salespeople focus on both Business Development and Client Relationship Management.  There is a separate central Client Experience support function that focuses on Client Servicing and reporting. The firm has long-established offices in Zurich and Munich, with newer offices in Milan, Amsterdam, Madrid, Stockholm and now Paris.

To support the business development and client relationship management activities in France, we are looking for an Associate to join the team based in Paris.  

What will you do?

  • Supporting the business development team in managing the relationship with existing clients as well as in sales and marketing activities.
  • Coordinating presentation material for client pitches and reviews, working with RBC BlueBay’s Presentations team and Institutional Portfolio Managers.
  • Dealing with client/prospect information requests, guided by the responsible sales/client relations person as needed.
  • Helping prepare for or hosting calls and meetings for due diligence, review or servicing purposes.
  • Supporting the onboarding of segregated mandates, transitions and mandate changes, collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of contracts and agreements.
  • Maintaining and leveraging off the firm’s Management Information System (currently Salesforce) to ensure the effective implementation of regional relationship and servicing processes and tracking of activity with the overall aim to increase efficiency.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in all related functions incl. investment teams, RFP and marketing departments to build strong internal relationships to effectively support the regional business development activities and contribute to further growth of the local client base.
  • Helping prepare and coordinate sponsoring & clients’ events in France.
  • Personally reinforcing excellence across RBC BlueBay’s stated cultural values and standards both inside the firm and as a representative of RBC BlueBay in the market.
  • Developing a deep understanding of client needs and objectives.
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of the regulatory environment for specific client segments and product structures.
  • Continually building and deepening knowledge of RBC BlueBay’s products across traditional and alternative asset classes. Keeping abreast of market developments.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Good understanding of financial markets and products. Experience within the asset management industry mandatory.
  • Technologically literate
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

  • Have a strong understanding of the global financial services regulatory system.
  • Ensure funds are registered in appropriate target countries.
  • Ensure electronic communications, meetings and calls with investors are recorded in Salesforce.
