Overall Responsibility
The Intercompany Accounting Analyst supports the Tax Operations Group and Finance teams to address the complexities of intercompany transactions arising from global engagements with multiple billing arrangements. This position involves monitoring and investigating complex engagements, including those with multiple billing and work locations, to ensure that the engagement structure complies with Accenture policies and that intercompany revenue and expenses are accurately recognized and valued within the appropriate legal entities. Additionally, the role provides essential support for MP approval process and contributes to audits, variance analysis, and ad-hoc projects by collaborating with tax, controllership, finance teams. A key aspect of this role is leveraging technology to analyze and improve processes, with a strong focus on automation to enhance operational efficiency and ensure the accuracy of intercompany transactions across Accenture’s global entities.
Intercompany Accounting Analyst
Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate financial reconciliation of intercompany transactions across Accenture’s global entities. This includes ensuring compliance with policies, US GAAP norms, and local tax requirements globally.
Key Responsibilities:
The following is an example of activities and is not comprehensive:
- Understand and apply intercompany policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Review the set-up of local billing structures on engagements to ensure compliance
- Liaise with various finance groups (CFM, CDTS, Country Controllership, Global Tax, etc.) to ensure local billing structures align with existing policies and procedures
- Prepare engagement reports by legal entity for accurate financial tracking
- Analyze engagement reviews to propose and record intercompany journal entries
- Provide support to Country Controllership regarding the impact of intercompany adjustments
- Prepare engagement results by legal entity to support audit requests or local statutory year-end requirements
- Implement and enhance processes using automation tools to better align with customer requirements
- Improve intercompany systems, processes, and controls for greater efficiency and accuracy
- Post journal entries to adjust intercompany results.
- Contribute to training and documentation.
- Contribute to training initiatives and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing.
- Work flexible hours during closing periods to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- More than 12 months experience in Finance role and data analysis
- English knowledge – Fluent English
- University – finished or in progress
Work Requirements
Overtime may be required during the monthly financial close, particularly during the August fiscal year-end or for the resolution of urgent issues.
Skills Required:
- Accounting knowledge (US GAAP).
- Experience with SAP S4 Hana or similar ERP.
- Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Organizational and Analytical skills.
- Problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
