Redspin provides guidance to federal organizations seeking Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) certification to reduce cyber risks and protect sensitive information.   We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join Clearwater’s executive leadership team. The CFO will be a critical partner to the President and financial sponsor in shaping the company's strategic direction, scaling financial operations, and leading all financial-related activities. This leader will drive value creation through data-driven insights, rigorous financial discipline, and a deep understanding of consulting / IT services business models.• • Serve as a key thought partner to the President and Board in shaping long-term business strategy and capital allocation.• Lead the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and private equity value creation plans.• Support M&A efforts as needed, including deal evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution.Financial Management & Operations• Manage all aspects of the finance function, including FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and investor reporting.• Build a best-in-class finance organization, with the right people, systems, and processes to support continued growth.• Implement scalable budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to drive accountability and transparency.• Ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting, working closely with auditors and third-party advisors.Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration• Partner with other functional and business leaders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.• Support go-to-market strategies, pricing, contract modeling, and customer profitability analysis.• Lead or support enterprise system implementations and business process automation initiatives.Private Equity & Board Engagement• Serve as the primary liaison with the Board on all financial matters.• Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting and performance updates.• Partner with the PE sponsors on value creation initiatives, KPI tracking, and exit readiness planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required (MBA or relevant advanced degrees is a plus).

• Progressive financial leadership experience, with recent CFO or senior finance executive role in a successful growth-stage, private equity–backed environment.

• Industry experience in the delivery of consulting or technology-enabled services (with exposure to healthcare clients considered a plus).

• Demonstrated success leading financial operations through periods of transformation and scale.

• Operationally oriented with success leading and partnering cross-functionally to drive operating decisions, pricing, and margin expansion initiatives.

• Deep expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, capital planning, and compliance.

• Experience with exit preparation.

• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams and collaborate across executive and investor stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

• Prior experience scaling a mid-market business through significant growth milestones (e.g., helping grow revenue to +$100M).

• M&A integration experience.

• Experience working within an organization that leverages offshore teams.

• Experience managing debt-related activities (credit facilities, covenant compliance, optimizing leverage).
