Senior Accountant

About the Position: 

  • Perform account reconciliations, analyze balances, and record monthly journal entries to ensure timely revenue and expense recognition, including evaluation of and support for accruals based on estimates. 
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and provide margin, operating expense, and variance analysis.
  • Emphasis on providing financial planning and analysis, including creation of budgets and ad-hoc reports in support of Sales, Marketing, and Operations segments. 
  • Manage purchase and sales processes in concert with operations teams, including three-way match of purchase and sale documentation.
  • Aid in the management of inventory levels through review of aged inventory.
  • Manage treasury needs and foreign currency hedging strategies through cash flow projections. 
  • Ensure the company remains in good standing with vendors by monitoring accounts payable and initiating vendor payments, including foreign currency denominated payments.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable to preserve or shorten the cash cycle.
  • Make recommendations to management for process and profitability improvements.
  • Calculate monthly sales commissions and review bi-weekly payroll reports.
  • Maintain open lines of communication up and across the organizational chart to sustain proper oversight and to problem solve by leveraging unique skillsets and experiences.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in financial reporting and/or cost accounting preferred
  • Advanced excel skills; data modeling experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with desire to improve and adapt processes.
  • Exhibits strong time management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Conveys professional written and oral communication.

Other details: 

  • Full-time employment
  • Hybrid Role: In Eastlake office 2-3x per week preferred; considerations for remote work considered on case-by-case basis.  
  • Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000, plus benefits (Healthcare, 401k once eligible, etc.). 
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
