Summary:  Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Business Banking Application Coordinator at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Business Banking Application Coordinator is responsible for providing loan application support. The role also handles tasks like data entry, Reg B monitoring, due diligence review and managing documents, and performs follow up as needed to meet deadlines. The Business Banking Application Coordinator acts as a liaison between bankers and customers and handles inquiries.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $58,000 to $68,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform application intake. Initiate file; complete application checklist; request missing information and complete data-entry in Abrigo to start workflow for Underwriting. Enter Appraisals and Environmental Requests into RIMS as applicable.
  • Perform Due Diligence Credit Reports / searches via Lexis Nexis, Experian, Equifax, OFAC, UCC, DOS, Flood. Ensure file uploads.
  • Act as a liaison between bankers and customers. Assist in obtaining required information needed to satisfy items precedent to closing. Handle inquiries and resolve issues to conclusion for both existing and new customers. Escalate as necessary.
  • Maintain and update credit files. Ensure application and client files are up to date. This includes application information for decline and withdrawn requests.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining reports necessary to track and follow up on customer and loan data. Create, review, cull and reformat various reports so that the team is provided with efficient reporting.
  • Pull portfolio reports, past due loan reports and loans maturing reports for lenders’ review and as a follow up on any outstanding issues.
  • Provide general administrative support; generate correspondence and/or mailings.
  • Perform follow up tasks, including obtaining missing financial information necessary to complete annual reviews of existing loans.
  • Participate with Audit information requests.
  • Keeps up to date with Bank policies. Remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as requested by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Branch Banking/Private Banking or related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn other bank specific software.
  • Client-first perspective.
  • Self-starter and reliable.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
