Production SUPERINTENDENT - Feather Lane bei Peco Foods

Description:

• Responsible for supervision and development of Production Supervisors in assigned area.
• Verify daily payroll time sheets for all production employees as necessary.
• Maintain & be accountable for safety, food safety, cost, and productivity of assigned area. Comply with all written corporate and plant policies.
• Accountable for results across all areas of responsibility.
• Be on call as required in case of emergency.
• Oversee special projects, start-ups, trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Plan production schedules and staffing requirements.
• Perform various special tasks as assigned by the Shift Manager.
• Comply with all written corporate and plant policies.
• Ensure plant compliance in food safety and assist in the upkeep of the complex grounds.
• Comply with all written corporate safety and plant policies.
• Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
  • Natural occurring defects i.e. bruises and blood spots.
  • Processing defects would be but not limited to foreign material and out of spec product.

Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their plant management official.

            Abnormal situation would be:

Product tampering

                        Willful product adulteration

                        Unauthorized employees in restricted areas

                        Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring

                        Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

Physical Demands:

• Working in a cold/wet/damp environment.
• Standing / walking 100% of the workday.
• Lifting various weights on an as needed basis.
