POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for strategic planning and overall administration of the HH Program. This includes supervision of Deputies and administrative staff, staff recruitment and retention, staff training, continuous quality improvement and development/implementation of program policies and procedures.
JOB FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides direct administrative and clinical supervision to Deputy Director, care Coordinators, and Administrative staff.
- Ensures rosters, matrix reporting, and program enrollment is maintained.
- Completes performance evaluations of Deputy Directors, and assist the deputy with the completion of the care coordinators performance evaluations. All line staff evaluations must be approved and signed by the Program Director
- Assumes initiative in center activities and seeks new sources of patient referrals and programs for the growth of the HH Program
- Establish and maintain a Community Advisory Council at each borough
- Develops annual program goals and objectives for the health center, assume responsibility for the implementation and achievement of these goals and objectives on a timely basis. .
- Thorough understanding of ECW and utilizes available management tools for the day to day operations
- Development and implements departmental policies and procedures.
- Develops training curriculum.
- Development and implements staff incentives and on-going stress reduction programs.
- Participates in weekly supervisory sessions with the deputy.
- Facilitates related services for clients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
- Participates in program budget development and conducts periodic reviews with the Associate Vice President, Vice President of Finance/CFO and the Senior Vice President.
- Demonstrates teamwork at all times, addresses issues and concerns while providing guidance, advice and proper follow-up
- Maintains essential data for reporting and program evaluation.
- Conducts periodic case record reviews to insure adherence to program standards.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures regarding continuous quality improvement.
- Insures that ethical practices are maintained in service provision.
- Communicates regularly with Center Directors regarding relevant program issues and cohesion with Center staff.
- Ensure compliance with: Performance evaluations, Employee Health Service, Agency and clinic/Department orientation of new employees
- Special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Social Work.
- Conducts networking activities to enhance community visibility, and to ensure communication occurs amongst all providers’ network.
- Participates in Senior Management Team meetings.
- Participates in relevant internal and external training.
- Conducts administrative meetings with the HH management staff once a month.
- Participates in special committees and task forces.
- Participates in the development of proposals for funding.
- Represents the agency at area network, regional work groups and other meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Masters degree in Social Work, MPH, LCSW preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) years experience in program management and administration.
- Ability to supervise and provide leadership for up to 200 staff members, insuring accountability.
- Demonstrate ability to organize and document information in accordance with program standard.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
