Description

This position will support the Corporate Finance team. In this role, the Senior Accountant – Global Finance will perform the monthly financial close process, including the review of journal entries and account reconciliations, perform financial analyses, consolidations, as well as support the external audit and tax functions. The role involves collaborating with a broad range of professionals globally, including interfacing with senior management across all functions (i.e. manufacturing, sales, and finance).


The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting skillset and utilize excellent time management, organization and interpersonal skills, have the ability to communicate effectively, and work independently to perform a wide array of duties.

Requirements

· Supervise the work of the Staff Accountant, including oversight of monthly close, review of journal entries, and review of balance sheet reconciliations.

· Assist in the annual financial statement audit process by preparing and reviewing annual audit schedules, supporting documentation, and analyses.

· Support the preparation of the annual tax provision and compliance filings by compiling and preparing tax schedules and analyses.

· Assist with annual pension accounting, disclosures, and related reporting requirements.

· Coordinate and support the annual insurance renewal process through data collection, validation, and communication with global finance teams.

· Liaise with global divisions to ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly close activities, intercompany transactions, and other corporate finance matters.

· Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting by ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization of accounting processes.

· Perform special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests from management, including financial analyses and operational support.


  

Qualifications, Education and Experience:


· Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, higher education a plus

· Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including public company and/or Big 4 accounting firm experience

· Strong knowledge of financial accounting concepts and US GAAP

· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills a plus

· Experience with Sage Fixed Assets, LeaseQuery, Planful, MS Navision, and MS Dynamics, a plus

· Strong learning, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

· Ability to plan, multi-task, collaborate, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

· Experience working with entities overseas and foreign exchange knowledge a plus

· CPA is a plus



The estimated annualized base salary range for this role is $100,000-$110,000. Compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
