The Senior Accountant's responsibilities will include, but not limited to, monthly analysis, reconciliation of general ledger accounts for all entities, recording journal entries and other tasks on a
monthly basis. Preparing tax deposits and working on W-2's.

Primary Functions:

1. Deposit the payroll taxes on a bi-weekly basis or as needed.

2. Prepare the quarterly payroll tax reports. 

3. Complete the reconciliation of W-2's to the YTD payroll tax reports. 

4. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules. 

5. Assist in the reconciliation of various general ledger accounts.

 6.  Be able to process accounts payable as a backup.. 

7. Be able to process the monthly closing of fixed assets. 

8. Prepare grant billings and external reports for miscellaneous grants. 

9. Assist Director of Finance with other related duties. 

10. Other duties as assigned. 

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of three years experience in the Accounting field. 

C.P.A preferred


Experience & Qualifications:

1. Detail oriented and be able to analyze work. 

2. Confidentiality of work required.

3. Experience in maintaining and reviewing general ledger accounts.

4. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.

5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
