Ellingson is hiring a Payroll Accountant to join their growing team. Ellingson is a stable, family values-based company that specializes in underground solutions throughout Southern Minnesota and the entire United States.

The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing Employee Paychecks
• Preparing accounting files and records
• Resolving payroll issues
• Participating in payroll audits
• Union payroll reporting

QUALIFICATIONS (Required or preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
• Prior experience as a payroll accountant or in a similar role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Employees are expected to be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives.
• Understand local and governmental regulations related to payroll.
• Proficiency in MS Office:
• Strong Mathematical Skills:
• Attention to detail and great computational ability.
