Position Overview

The Fleet Safety Coordinator shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Implements and monitors company policies and procedures to ensure the safe and compliant operation of Prairie Farms Family of Companies vehicles and location route drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement fleet safety and training program.
• Analyze data from various fleet management software.
• Develop reports regarding the data points and work with applicable locations to make improvements.
• Become the administrator of the corporate training website.
• Work with the Risk Management department to review accidents and ensure corrective actions are being taken. 
• Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.
• Performing necessary training.
• Proactively identifying potential safety risks within the fleet and developing action plans to mitigate them.
• Working with drivers, management, and other DOT personnel to promote accountability and continuous improvement in fleet safety. 
• Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements as needed.
• Serve as the point of contact for fleet safety related inquires and concerns. 

Required Qualifications 

• Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations or relevant industry standards
• Familiarity with fleet management software and accident tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience with creating training modules or presentations.
• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
• Ability to work well with various databases.
• Ability to have good phone etiquette.

Working Conditions

• (S)he will be required to sit and stand for long periods of time. 
• Will be required to lift and move large amounts of paperwork (boxes of files). 
• Will be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data.
