Position Summary
As a Systems Programmer at Advancial Federal Credit Union, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our core systems. You will be responsible for implementing new applications, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability to support the operations of the credit union effectively. This is a hybrid role.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain system applications and databases in accordance with best practices.
- Collaborate with IT team members to integrate systems and ensure system components work together seamlessly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Assist in the development and execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed.
- Document technical specifications, change logs, and operational procedures for systems.
- Provide technical support to end-users and other departments regarding system usage and issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the credit union's systems remain competitive and secure.
Compensation range for this hybrid role is $84K-105K.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) from a four-year College or university and minimum five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Must be capable of accomplishing basic software development tasks.
Must have on the job experience in the following areas: Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL); .Net Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET Core and MVC, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON, and JavaScript. Other desired experience: Ajax, Document Object Model (DOM), DHTML, XSLT, Web services, SOAP, and Angular JS. Must understand the relational database concept. Familiarity with GitHub/TFS (Team Foundation Server) is a plus. Core system proficiency should be acquired within the first four (4) months of employment, if not pre-existing.
