University Physicians' Association is actively hiring a full-time Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our general surgery practice at University Trauma & Acute Care Surgeons in Knoxville, TN. This is a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where your clinical skills and attention to detail will make a real difference. You’ll work closely with physicians and care teams to ensure a seamless and compassionate experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with patient care and procedures
• Schedule appointments and obtain prior authorizations
• Secure pre-certifications for MRIs, CT scans, and surgical cases
• Track and communicate test results
• Triage patient calls and answer clinical questions
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and providers

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• 6 months to 1 year of medical experience
• MA/LPN or EMT certification preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical setting
• A team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient care
