POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the supervision of the Director of Network 2 and the Employee Services office, the Human Resource Intern is responsible for assisting the Network 2 office with strategic thinking, strategic planning, HR compliance, employee relations and a heavier focus on recruitment. This role coordinates organization-wide hiring efforts to ensure that the HR recruitment and employee relations efforts align with Trinity Services’ mission, values, and operational needs. The HR Intern will create employee engagement surveys, create employee stay surveys, and lead recruitment efforts for Network 2. The Human Resources Intern will use ADP-RM to screen applicants, manage workflows, and generate recruiting reports for Network 2. In addition to system management, this position includes sourcing candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, and participating in HR meetings to contribute ideas to enhance the employee experience and boost retention.

 

Pay: $25 hourly

Hours: Flexible hours. Contingent upon intern’s schedule

NETWORK OR DEPARTMENT: Network 2- Wilmington

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

ADP-RM Management and Optimization

  • Serve as the primary user and subject matter expert for ADP Recruiting Management (ADP-RM)
  • Track applicant statuses, monitor recruitment funnels, and generate weekly/monthly analytics
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with ADP support when necessary

 

Talent Acquisition and Candidate Sourcing

  • Collaborate with leadership to understand staffing needs and create strategic sourcing plans
  • Utilize social media, job boards, professional networks, community partners, and other channels to attract diverse candidates
  • Develop partnerships with local colleges, community organizations, and workforce development agencies
  • Create employee engagement surveys
  • Create employee stay surveys
  • Coordinate employee engagement and wellness incentives

 

Screening and Selection

  • Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews for ILC roles
  • Review applications and assess qualifications against job requirements
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Create and update structured interview guides and selection rubrics

 

Reporting and Compliance

  • Chair the weekly application status meeting: prepare reports from ADP-RM, lead discussions, and distribute meeting summaries
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with hiring regulations and internal policies
  • Support EEO tracking and other reporting requirements
  • Review policies to ensure that they meet legal standards and disciplines.
  • Support HR compliance and ensuring that procedures follow legal guidelines.
  • Support HR team in policy documentation, compliance tracking, and performance review logistics

 

Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding

  • Represent Trinity Services at job fairs, community events, and career exposure
  • Create promotional materials and contribute to digital content (e.g., job spotlights, employee testimonials)
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance visibility of open positions

 

Administrative Support

  • Support additional HR functions and special projects as assigned

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in ADP-RM or similar ATS systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with candidates and internal teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with sourcing techniques on social media and professional platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to create surveys based on need
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassisted
  • Push and pull up to 75 pounds; support individuals in wheelchairs up to 200 pounds
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, sitting, kneeling, and reaching for prolonged periods
  • Operate motor vehicles for recruitment-related travel

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Masters program in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience or familiarity with human resource roles and/or industrial organizational psychology
