Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Dietary Services, the Nutritional Services Worker supports the preparation of food for patient, staff and visitor meals in a timely and compliant manner. The employee must:
- Follow menus established by the Manager of Dietary Services;
- Help prepare food according to established recipes;
- Track foods by open and expiration dates;
- Store / keep food following established benchmarks;
- Maintain cooking equipment; and
- Keep preparation areas clean and organized.
The Nutritional Services Worker must be able to support cash register functions, take orders, and deliver Café and patient meals in an efficient and friendly manner. The employee must also:
- Maintain sanitary conditions of all tableware, pots, pans, steam lines, ovens, and other dietary equipment;
- Sets up patient trays attractively, conveniently and correctly, in compliance with Sanitary Code (and other set-ups for hospital functions); and
- Ensure that all duties are completed on schedule.

Qualifications
- Base Compensation Range: $16.00 - $19.89 hourly, based on years of relevant experience. "Relevant experience" means relevant to the employee's responsibilities set forth in the job description as determined by the HR Manager, CAO, applicable department manager/director and applicable senior leader.
- Shift Differential Pay:
- Night Shift Differential: Employees who work majority of hours between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. receive a Night Shift Differential of an additional $5.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Benefits include generous paid time off, separate sick leave, health, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability and option for short-term disability, and retirement plan with employer contribution.
