Lewes Elementary School or other site
Part-time, Temporary, 3.5 hours/day, 17.5 hrs/week

Education and Certification:

High school diploma.

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
Experience supporting diverse student populations, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with disabilities, is a plus.

Knowledge
- Relevant policies and procedures that promote a safe school environment including training in areas such as; Child Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, Criminal Youth Gang, Teen Dating Violence, School Bullying Prevention, Delaware Homeless Education, First Aide/CPR/AED, Blood Borne Pathogens.
- Board Policies such as Title IX/504 Grievance Policy, "Not in my School" Eliminating Sexual Misconduct in Schools, Acceptable Use/Signed Technology Acquisition Agreement, Drug and Alcohol Policy for Professional and Support Staff, Building Handbook, Confidentiality Issues related to Student Information, Technology Protection Measures and Internet Safety.

- Social perceptiveness – Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do.

- Physical - Continuous moderate effort or physical activity required. Must be able to walk, occasionally run if needed, and to restrain students if necessary. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
