We are looking for a Warehouse Manager - Finished Goods Shipping to join our growing organization!

 

Qualifications


General Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for supervising all warehouse associates, planning, implementing, and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the warehouse department, monitor FG shipping to ensure on-time deliveries, ensuring compliance with all regulations, routinely informs and communicates with associates to ensure productivity, safety and sanitation, monitors and complete KPI reporting and related paperwork, schedules daily manpower, and performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

 

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

 

      • Oversees warehouse activities relating to outbound finished goods sales orders, inbound & restocking of finished goods, customer service requirements and quality rework.
      • Ensure order accuracy through preload audits, preload photos & onboard photos, onboard training, coaching when the opportunity arises and continuous improvement.
      • Meet and maintain dept KPI’s through training, reporting, continuous improvement. 
      • Supports & enforces all safety related activities by actively participating in safety meetings, ensuring safety procedures are practiced and required training is completed and current.
      • Ensures FG cycle counts, and other inventory control activities are completed in a timely manner.
      • Selects, trains, and mentors staff to aid in their professional development and growth.
      • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
      • Implements and maintains RF barcode systems, including training and coaching.
      • Experience in both preparation and documentation of both domestic and international shipments, along with customs clearance processes for inbound and outbound movements.
      • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; enforce adherence to requirements; advises management on needed actions.
      • Safeguard warehouse operations and inventory by establishing and monitoring security procedures and controls.
      • Manages goals and imperatives to increase productivity in warehouse.
      • Achieves financial objectives by providing feedback on annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
      • Look for any opportunities for cost reductions and continuous improvements.

      • Able to handle changing conditions, stress, and ambiguity in daily activities.
      • Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player with leadership qualities.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

 

      • 3-5 years’ experience in a warehouse operations management/supervisory role.
      • Experience in Logistics management is a plus.
      • Must have experience & knowledge of barcode systems, ERP/MRP/WMS, & Microsoft Office applications.
      • Computer literacy a must! Proficient in MS Office applications, database management tools, inventory management tools. Experience with ERP/SCM/WMS apps is required.

  • Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the warehouse, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface.
  • The warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy.
  • Doors near the department are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
  • Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions.
  • May have to handle merchandise and work with tools with sharp edges.
  • Passing forklifts emit gas fumes.
  • Tools, supplies, and related merchandise may contain hazardous materials.
