The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the warehouse by implementing departmental objectives that meet the company’s strategic, competitive, and internal needs

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the work of direct reports, including hiring, evaluating training, performance management, motivating,
coaching, and developing goals and procedures to ensure the achievement of goals. - Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and managing variance through financial statement analysis
- Provide cost control of all expenses, to include labor, supplies, maintenance, and utilities.
- Optimize the flow of products through the Distribution Center.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the facilities and equipment to maintain warehouse productivity, safety, and efficiency.
- Ensure clear communication between the warehouse and other operating departments, including store partnerships.
- Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous approvement within the DC.
- Demonstrate the company’s values in all aspects of their work performance.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- 3-5 years of previous management experience in a distribution-oriented environment.
- High School Diploma is required
- Post-Secondary education preferred.
- Combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Effective decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to build high performing work teams.
- Direct and motivate subordinates in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in house computer programs.
- Demonstrate the Company’s Values.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Periodic travel for DC Support and Meetings
- On-call 24/7 for emergencies.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
