Step into a pivotal role where your strategic vision and systems fluency will shape how Novartis engages with external experts. As Associate Director EEE Business Systems, you’ll lead the business-side ownership of enterprise platforms like HIP/ENGAGE or GEMS —ensuring they evolve in lockstep with our global standards, compliance needs, and engagement goals. You’ll collaborate across Legal, Compliance, IT, and Medical Affairs to translate complex business needs into scalable, audit-ready systems that drive operational excellence and data integrity. Job Description

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead business excellence for EEE systems, aligning capabilities with evolving standards and enterprise needs

  • Drive strategic system enhancements in collaboration with IT and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Define and govern business-side requirements, data models, and configuration frameworks

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation including SOPs, workflows, and use cases

  • Integrate systems with training, performance monitoring, and engagement processes

  • Oversee system field design, taxonomy, and logic to support accurate reporting

  • Represent Business Systems in governance boards and transformation initiatives

Essential for the role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Information Systems

  • 8–10 years of experience in pharma operations, enterprise systems, or Medical Affairs tech leadership

  • Proven ability to manage system governance and evolution in matrixed environments

  • Strong knowledge of digital compliance, audit standards, and regulatory reporting

  • Experience translating complex process needs into system specifications and change strategies

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills across technical and non-technical teams

Desirable for the role:

  • Training in systems governance or digital compliance

  • Familiarity with platforms such as HIP / ENGAGE, GEMS or similar systems
