Position Summary

The Events Manager, Eliot Society Programs – Advancement, reports to the Director of Eliot Society Programs and is responsible for planning and executing key events that build and strengthen relationships between the University and its alumni, parents, and friends. This role requires regular travel to support and oversee events in cities across the country. The Events Manager oversees or supports all aspects of event planning, from concept through execution, ensuring high-quality, meaningful experiences that foster lasting connections.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage special events within University Advancement, providing strategic oversight and support as needed. These events include but are not limited to St. Louis-based and regional Eliot Society events, as well as targeted cultivation events.
  • This role will work closely with the Special Events and University Ceremonies team and Eliot Society Experience team to ensure seamless event execution and meaningful donor experiences. This role will also assist overall SEUC events when necessary.
  • Oversee event planning related activities including but not limited to contract negotiations and management, reserving event space, work with communications coordinator to create invitations, overseeing data for invitation lists, coordinating and supervising mail house projects, creating timelines, establishing logistical plans, assist with securing speakers, creating seating plans, assisting with talking points, briefing materials for university leadership, and onsite logistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
