Function
The Senior Administrative Assistant to Director for Student Health Services performs various secretarial duties, using good judgment in exercising those procedures. Primary duties include assisting in organizing information, compiling reports, sending communications, answering telephones, typing, filing, scheduling appointments, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Performs general secretarial duties involving answering the telephone, giving information in accordance with approved procedures, taking messages, filing, and other office procedures.
- Prepares documents, letters, requisitions, and other information as needed.
- Proofreads all documents for spelling and typographical errors.
- Makes telephone calls and appointments as requested.
- Maintains a readers’ file and subject file.
- Operates various office machines and equipment.
- Sends/obtains information from/to schools as directed.
- Assists other secretaries in the preparation of office projects.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Specialist, Director, and Assistant Superintendent.
- Maintains spreadsheet of budget expenditures and organizes and files requisitions on all expenditures.
- Assists in preparation of SHAC (School Health Advisory Council) materials, meeting organization and taking meeting minutes.
- Maintains professional appearance and serves as a positive role model.
- Makes travel and hotel reservations.
- Maintains office supply inventories and requisitions of supplies and materials when needed.
- Attends to the organization and distribution of all material and equipment requests for seminar presentations.
- Processes all honorarium and reimbursement request.
- Compiles various Student Health Services state-mandated reports.
- Orders, maintains, and calibrates health services equipment.
- Assist in preparing Memorandum Agree of Understanding (MOU) and payment for medical services rendered by consulting School Physician and HEB for Hepatitis B vaccine.
- Maintains a storage and retrieval system of materials conveniently accessible for dissemination.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the appropriate chain of command.

- Engages in limited in-District travel.
- Ability to manipulate tools/equipment/keyboards.
- Ability to perform work while standing and/or walking for extended periods, up to eight (8) hours a day.
