Job Summary:

Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a dynamic results-driven energy leader for our Origination team in Irving, TX. The position title - Director, Senior Director, or Vice President - will reflect the candidate’s expertise and experience. This role leads the identification, structuring, and execution of high-value natural gas transactions, drives business growth by cultivating strategic customer and industry relationships, and leverages deep expertise in gas markets and regulatory frameworks to provide actionable market insights that guide organizational strategy. Success in this role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex deals in rapidly changing market conditions.

Location: Onsite in Irving, TX.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead all phases of transaction development, from opportunity identification to deal execution
  • Structures and negotiates high-value natural gas and energy management agreements and related contracts
  • Collaborates across functions to negotiate and finalize commercial contracts with third parties
  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships with customers, counterparties, and industry partners
  • Represents Tenaska at industry events to cultivate and strengthen business opportunities
  • Leverage market insights to identify trends, gaps, and new business opportunities in natural gas products
  • Maintains deep expertise in designated gas markets, including regulations, natural gas transportation and generation fundamentals, and supply–demand dynamics
  • Gathers and analyzes market feedback to assess competitive positioning and inform strategy
  • Evaluates broader market fundamentals, including policy drivers, financial incentives, business strategies, and industry trends
  • Provides management with actionable market and competitive intelligence to guide decision-making

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Engineering, Business (Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics), or a related field; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the energy industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
  • Travel: Up to 50%
